Period: around 1770

Rococo dress, a so-called robe à la francaise, made of ice blue silk in the typical vertical wave pattern with embroidered flower bouquets. The hand-embroidered stomacher was made in the pattern and embroidery technique of the 18th century.

The rococo gown includes a chemise made of fine linen with antique lace on the sleeves, a functional undergarment with pockets, a large panier and a corset with handmade eyelets.
All parts were made according to original cuts and patterns.

Period: 2nd half of the 18th century

The caraco (lap jacket) and skirt are made of precious silk lampas in the typical wave-like pattern of the Rococo period. The peplums of the jacket are cut and it is fastened at the front with hooks and eyelets.

The skirt is worn over a small panier. The ensemble is completed with a fichu (shawl) made of cotton muslin.
The costume was made according to original patterns and purchased by the city of Paderborn for the reopening of the Residenzmuseum Schloss Neuhaus.

Period: around 1735, 1750 and 1765

To mark the 300th anniversary of Leopold Mozart's birth in 2019, these three Justaucorps, 18th-century men's suits, were commissioned by the Leopold Mozart Museum in Augsburg.
The exhibition concept envisages using these rococo suits and the figurines developed by our company to illustrate Leopold's development and make it tangible to the senses.

The first suit from the first half of the 18th century is made of brown-grey woollen fabric and shows the poor background of his parents' house in Augsburg. We had the suit patinated, it has been patched in several places, the fabric is artificially worn and it is deliberately ill-fitting.

The second suit from the middle of the 18th century is made of black woollen cloth and represents the time when Leopold worked as an employee of the archbishop in Salzburg. This livery is one size fits all and is also deliberately ill-fitting.

The third Justaucorps shows Leopold as a cosmopolitan. He also achieved fame and renown thanks to his son Wolfgang Amadeus. The design is based on the painting by Pietro Antonio Lorenzoni from 1765. We chose heavy silk atlas for the realisation and had it embroidered by hand.

Period: 1802, Germany

The two Directoire costumes for Johannes Bückler, alias Schinderhannes, and his wife Juliane Bläsius were created for the permanent exhibition in the Hunsrück Museum.
The design of the clothes is based on contemporary depictions.

It is the period around 1800, the Directoire in terms of costume history, the transitional period from Rococo to Empire. Bückler wore the culotte with waistcoat and jacket as well as long trousers with a camisole, a waistcoat with sleeves, in the colour light blue according to the description.

The realisation of Julchen's clothing is closely based on a painting in which she can be seen with her newborn son. The fabric pattern for the skirt and bonnet is a replica from around 1800: stripes interspersed with small bouquets of flowers in the colours blue and white.

The clothing, which is unusually good for a pair of robbers, is based on authentic patterns.

Period: Rococo, around 1770

This rococo wedding dress, a robe à la francaise, is made from a silk lampas fabric woven from an original Lyon silk pattern from the second half of the 18th century. Typical of Rococo fabric patterns is the vertical wave pattern with incorporated floral bouquets.

A corset and a small panier serve as a base. The dress comes with two different stomachers.

The rococo ball gown presented here, a robe à la francaise, is made of a silk lampas fabric in the 18th century chinoiserie pattern. The garnish consists of pleating and a padded border. A chemise is worn under the dress, the neckline and cuffs of which are trimmed with antique lace. The corset and small panier provide the appropriate shape.

The rococo dress was made according to an original cut.

Period: 1763, Russia

This rococo dress was created for a ZDF documentary film about Tsarina Catherine the Great based on a painting by Fyodor S. Rokotov from the second half of the 18th century. The dress is made of hand-painted silk trimmed with ‘precious stones’, modelled on the original fabric. The multi-layered sleeves are made of antique lace, as is the decolette edging.

The velvet cape is embroidered with the double-headed eagle and lined with ermine (faux fur).

Period: around 1770

This justaucorps - or habit à la francaise, as men's suits were called in the second half of the 18th century - with culotte (breeches with bib fastening) and gilet (waistcoat) was made from an original cut of pigeon-blue brocade with the small pattern in silver and black typical of rococo men's suits.

It has a small stand-up collar and a edging made of metal braid. The ensemble includes a shirt trimmed with antique lace, a jabot and a neck tie.

Period: around 1740

This rococo riding dress made of blue silk was created on the basis of various 18th century riding dresses according to an original cut. It consists of a skirt and a jacket with an attached peplum. The gold trim and braid fastening are reminiscent of Rococo men's costumes.

Period: ca. 1780

This simple historical wedding dress, a robe à l'anglaise of the Rococo period, is made from an original cut of iridescent ice-blue silk taffeta without elaborate embellishments. Only the neckline and sleeves are pleated in typical rococo style. The centre back is cut continuously, i.e. without a waist seam, giving the dress with its small train a special elegance.

The corset and panier serve as a base.

Period: around 1780

This robe à l'anglaise was created for a historical celebration in a rococo castle garden.

It is made from a cotton print in the pattern and colours of the late 18th century with stylised flowers and birds. The centre back is cut without a waist seam throughout, while the rest of the skirt is attached to the stiffened bodice in very small pleats.

The underskirt is made of delicately embroidered cotton batiste. The hip roll and corset create the typical silhouette.
The skirt can be gathered upwards with ribbons so that the robe à l'anglaise can also be worn à la polonaise. The dress comes with a fichu (breast scarf) made of muslin.
