Period: around 1850
The Victorian day dress is made of green moiré and was designed according to an original pattern from 1853. The front collar parts emphasise the heavily dropped shoulders with the low-set sleeves. The dress is worn with a corset and crinoline.
The dark green velvet cape is lined and trimmed with brown cotton astrakhan . The muff is made from the same material.
The silk bonnet is also made from an original cut in two different shades of brown.
