This 16th century Venetian dress was made from handmade silk, a cutwork underlaid with plain-coloured silk. The overlapping of the two fabrics creates interference (refraction of light) in the transparent part, which creates an effect of depth. The stage presence is enhanced by gold-coloured Venetian lace, which was used for the Stuart collar and the sleeve cuffs.
The Tudor corset is made according to an original cut. There is a hip roll under the barrel-shaped skirt.
