Period: ca. 1805
A Regency bridal gown from the early 19th century made from delicate cream-white tulle lace. The cut of the sleeves and crossed over bodice still contain elements from the Directoire. The historic wedding dress is complemented by a silk belt with an antique gem. The transparent tulle fabric with delicate floral embroidery allows the fine linen underdress to shimmer through.
The design is based on an original cut from around 1805.
