Period: around 1450
The medieval dress, made in the style of a 15th century houppelande, is crafted from a red silk damask from the Venetian weaving mill Luigi Bevilacqua.
The dress has the typical high waist, wide sleeves and a skirt with fine pleats. The cuffs and collar are made of "ermine" (faux fur). There is a drawstring in both side seams to adjust the width. Underneath the houppelande is an underdress made of hand-woven silk.
