This suit was commissioned work for the St. Wendel museum that conducted an exhibition about the life of Duchess Luise, mother of King Albert.

Luise was a constant reader of the 'Almanach des modes' and it thus stood to reason to choose an Regency dress from this magazine as reference. Distinctive of Regency fashion are the tabbed edges of the high-waist bodice and the puffed sleeves adorned with silk stripes and lace, which were worn over narrow lower sleeves. The lightness of the pink-white color combination was very fashionable at that time. Similarly we decided for a modest fabric: plain silk.

Based on our reference model we further crafted a fitting bonnet made of straw, decorated with ribbons and flowers.
