Day dress

with cape, bonnet and muff

Period: around 1850

The Victorian day dress is made of green moiré. It was designed after an original pattern from 1853. The front collar pieces accentuate the heavily dropped shoulder with low set sleeves. It is worn with corset and crinoline.

The cape made of dark green velvet is lined and trimmed with brown crimson. The muff is made of the same material.

The silk bonnet consists of two different shades of brown.
